Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Karmayogi Sadhana Saptah through video conferencing, emphasizing the need for citizen-focused and technology-driven governance to achieve the vision of a developed India by 2047. During his address, the Prime Minister referred to the recent inauguration of Seva Teerth and reiterated the countryโ€™s commitment towards building a developed nation. โ€œTo realise the dream of a developed India, we need fast economic growth, modern infrastructure, technology, and a skilled workforce,โ€ he said, outlining the key pillars of long-term national progress.

He stressed that public institutions and government officials have a crucial role in this transformation. According to him, governance must evolve to meet the expectations of a rapidly changing and aspirational society. โ€œWe can clearly see how India is aspirational today. This means we all have the responsibility to fulfil these dreams,โ€ he stated, highlighting the collective responsibility of the system.

The Prime Minister placed strong emphasis on improving the quality of life for citizens. He noted that governance should continuously focus on enhancing ease of living and delivering tangible benefits. โ€œGovernance should be such that ease of living and quality of life continuously improve. This is our challenge,โ€ he said.

Highlighting administrative reforms, he called for modernization of public services. โ€œIt is essential to update public services as the country advances in this changing world,โ€ he stated, underlining the importance of adapting governance systems to new challenges and technological advancements.

A key theme of his address was citizen-centric governance. โ€œThe main mantra of governance we are working on is โ€˜Nagrik Devo Bhavโ€™,โ€ he said, emphasizing that citizens must remain at the center of all decision-making processes. He added that governance is being reshaped to become more responsive and sensitive towards public needs.

The Prime Minister also urged officials to adopt a duty-driven approach in their work. โ€œYou need to immerse yourself in the sentiment of being a Karmayogi,โ€ he said, encouraging public servants to work with dedication, responsibility, and a sense of purpose.

A strong emphasis was placed on shifting governance from authority-based functioning to duty-driven service. This transformation, he noted, can lead to more impactful decision-making and improved institutional performance.

The address highlighted the importance of technology, innovation, and efficiency in governance. By strengthening public systems and enhancing accountability, the government aims to build a framework that is both modern and citizen-focused.

The Prime Ministerโ€™s call for combining technology, responsibility, and citizen-first governance reflects a broader vision of transforming public administration to meet the aspirations of a new India.
