HRCI Hosts Felicitation Programme in Itanagar, Honours Peace and Social Work Contributors…

ITANAGAR, ARUNACHAL PRADESH — The Human Rights Council of India (HRCI) organised a state unit declaration-cum-felicitation programme in Itanagar, recognising individuals for their contributions to peace, social service, and human rights.

The event, held at a city hotel, was part of the organisation’s initiative titled ‘The Art of Human Peace Mission – 2026’, aimed at promoting justice, equality, and humanitarian values. HRCI, a non-governmental organisation founded in 2012, works towards supporting underprivileged communities and advancing human rights across the country.

During the programme, several individuals were honoured for their outstanding contributions. Among the प्रमुख awardees, Taku Tacho, Yatum Gangkak, Aruna Tatin, and Onil Tatin were conferred the prestigious ‘Dr B.R. Ambedkar Global Peace Award – 2026’.

In addition, 14 other individuals received ‘The Art of Human Peace Mission – 2026’ awards, acknowledging their efforts in community service and social development.

The event was attended by Alo Libang, Advisor to the Chief Minister, who served as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged the awardees to continue their efforts in promoting peace, equality, and service to society, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in building a more inclusive community.

The programme also included the induction of new members into the HRCI state unit, marking an expansion of the organisation’s presence and activities in Arunachal Pradesh.

Participants from different parts of the state attended the event, reflecting broad engagement and interest in issues related to human rights and social welfare.

The felicitation ceremony highlighted the role of individuals and organisations in promoting peace and justice, while reinforcing the importance of grassroots efforts in advancing human rights and community development.
